Confusion at the gate when numbers are called

Me and others have noticed some issues when numbers are being called for gate pick. Before, it was very organized with adults reading the numbers of riders off LOUDLY and CLEARLY.

Recently, it's been very tough trying to hear the young child reading the numbers at the gate, even when prepared and towards the front of the staging area. With all the chaos and bike noise, it's very hard to hear and I, and many others, have missed gate positions because of this.

I am not trying to disrespect anyone, but racing is hectic enough, we need someone who can read these numbers off loudly and clearly. It was great when Mr. Brooks and other adults read off the numbers.

Not sure if this is the spot to post this or maybe it should be brought to a meeting but if others feel the same way, maybe we should make a change?
